About MIoD

The Mississippi Institute on Disabilities (MIoD), housed within the College of Education, was formed in 2023 to capture the innovative and extensive work being conducted to support persons with a wide variety of unique needs.

Our Mission, Vision, and Values

MIoD seeks to conduct research on disability intervention and support, offer training to practitioners and researchers, and provide services to families and individuals with disabilities across their lifespan, ensuring comprehensive support and enhancing the overall quality of life for Mississippians.

Our Team

MIoD encompasses various centers, including the T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability (TKMC), the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Clinic (ADDC), the Career Horizons Center (CHC), and more recently, the ACCESS Program and Specialized College Services.
