Dr. Herbstrith is an Associate Professor in School Psychology at Mississippi State University. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Dr. Herbstrith earned her Ph.D. from Illinois State University and has held faculty appointments in Texas and Illinois prior to joining Mississippi State University in 2023. Dr. Herbstrith has worked extensively with school psychologists, teachers, administrators, and community members to build safe, inclusive, and equitable schools. Her teaching, research, and practice are all based in translational science and are equity driven. Dr. Herbstrith's research team, R-squared (Representation Research), focuses on projects that help systems foster inclusivity and mattering for all students and families.
