Beca Spencer, M.A., BCBA, LBS1, is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program at Mississippi State University (MSU). She earned her master’s degree in Teaching: Instructional Strategies from Rockford College and is both a certified Learning Behavior Specialist and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. With eleven years of experience in K-12 education, she has worked in Special Education as a classroom teacher, collaborator, and procedural coach for the Rockford Public School District in Illinois. Ms. Spencer joined MSU in July 2017 as the Assistant Director of ACCESS, a four-year inclusive transition program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In January 2022, she transitioned to her current role as an ABA faculty member within the department of Counseling, Higher Education Leadership, Educational Psychology, and Foundations (CHEF). Currently, she serves as the ABA Undergraduate Program Coordinator and is a Faculty Advisor for the Behavior Analysis Student Organization (BASO).
