Dr. Stephanie Mattson is an assistant professor in the Applied Behavior Analysis program in the Department of Counseling, Higher Education Leadership, Educational Psychology, and Foundations and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Doctoral (BCBA-D). Dr. Mattson has a combined background in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis, and she completed her doctoral training at Utah State University. Dr. Mattson is passionate about using the principles of behavior analysis to improve the lives of the individuals she works with and training practitioners to effectively implement behavioral interventions. Dr. Mattson’s research and applied interests include evaluating contextually appropriate interventions to improve communication and independence for individuals on the autism spectrum, practitioner/teacher training and support, and promoting the dissemination of behavior analysis.
